The third edition of the international “Contemporary Music Festival 2025”, organized by the Music Academy at the “Goce Delchev” University – Shtip, will be held from May 26 to 29 at the “Bezisten” Art Gallery in Shtip.
The “Contemporary Music Festival 2025” is dedicated to the promotion of world and domestic performance and creativity. As part of this year’s program, the festival will offer four chamber concerts in its traditional spring term from May 26 to 29, featuring renowned foreign and domestic artists who are building their artistic reputation on world concert stages.
This time, the space of the “Bezisten” Art Gallery in Shtip will be enriched by the sounds of the famous Novi Sad chamber trio “Heroines”. The Novi Sad trio is composed of prominent artists: Ksenija Mijatović-Korom – flute, Veronika Antunović-Marić – oboe and Slobodanka Stević – piano, who will open the festival on Monday, May 26. The eminent pianist Milica Jelača-Jovanović, who is coming to us from Washington, USA, will perform on the second festival evening, on May 27, and our renowned pianist Milica Škarić will also perform as a guest at the concert. The chamber duo consisting of Tatjana Džorleva – piano and Angele Mihajlovski – piano will perform with a program for four-hand piano on May 28. The concerts will bring a rich, new and fresh musical program, including premiere works, thus bringing the spirit of the new musical life to the world.
Within the framework of its regular concert program, the “Contemporary Music Festival” will traditionally give its podium to young artists, with the aim of their promotion and affirmation at the beginning of their concert career. The opportunity to present their talent on the professional concert podium is particularly important for young musicians and their further development and progress on the artistic path. On this third festival evening on May 29, students of the Music Academy at the “Goce Delchev” University – Shtip will perform.
All concerts start at 7 p.m. at the “Bezisten” University Music Hall – Shtip.
Admission to the concerts is free.
