Goce Delchev University – Shtip has been selected to be part of the prestigious European initiative ESCI Champions for the period 2025–2027, thus joining the group of leading higher education institutions that support the digitalization and simplification of administrative processes within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
The official kick-off meeting was held on September 9 at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, where the new generation of ESCI Champions was presented.
What are ESCI Champions?
European Student Card Initiative (ESCI) Champions are universities and organizations that have made significant progress in the implementation of the initiative’s components, including:
- Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) – digital exchange of data related to student mobility,
- European Student Card (ESC) – a European student card for simplified access to services and mobility.
The new ESCI Champions will have a two-year mandate (2025–2027) and will act as ambassadors for the initiative. Their role includes participating in European and national events, sharing good practices with colleagues from other institutions, and actively contributing to the further development of ESCI.
