Goce Delcev University – Stip will be part of the event “Europe is about opportunities”, which will be held on May 21 in the open-air amphitheater at the Youth Cultural Center “Dom na mladi” in Shtip, as part of the celebration of Europe Day 2026.
In the period from 13:00 to 17:00, UGD through its faculties, offices and academic units will present study programs, opportunities for international cooperation, student mobility and participation in European educational programs.
A large part of the faculties of the University will have their own presentations and information stands, where high school students, undergraduates and young people will be able to talk directly with professors, students and representatives of academic units about study directions, practical teaching, career opportunities and international programs offered by the University.
Special attention will be paid to the activities of the Erasmus+ Office at the University of Belgrade, which will inform visitors about student exchanges, studying abroad, short-term mobilities, international partnerships and European projects in which the University participates.
Within the framework of the “EU Opportunities Fair”, the opportunities offered by European institutions, the embassies of EU member states, as well as civil society organizations working with youth and students will be presented.
In addition to the fair part, a youth dialogue will be held on the topic “Opportunities without Borders: Youth, Erasmus+ and the EU”, where European educational perspectives, mobility programs and the role of youth in European processes will be discussed.
In recent years, Goce Delcev University has actively participated in numerous European projects, academic partnerships and mobility programs, thus positioning itself as one of the higher education institutions in the country with strong international cooperation and presence in European academic networks.
The event will end with a youth concert organized by the Music Academy at the UGD – Stip, thus marking Europe Day through a combination of education, culture, youth participation and European values. Europe Day is traditionally celebrated across European countries through activities dedicated to youth, education, cooperation and European integration. In North Macedonia, this year the focus is on young people and their active involvement in European initiatives and programs.
