From 14 to 18 September, Goce Delcev University – Stip hosted the five-day JRC Summer School 2026, dedicated to the assessment of air, soil and water pollution. The summer school was organized in partnership with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.
The program brought together students, young researchers and experts from the region, who through lectures, practical activities and fieldwork improved their knowledge of emissions and environmental impact assessment, modern tools developed by the JRC, as well as advanced measurement and monitoring techniques.
A particular value of the school was the opportunity for participants to learn directly from scientists and experts, to exchange experiences and to establish new professional contacts and foundations for future cooperation.
With the implementation of this significant international initiative, UGD once again confirmed its commitment to science, the development of research capacities, and the creation of sustainable solutions to contemporary environmental challenges.
