The book The Episcopal City of Bargala by Prof. Dr. Trajche Nachev provides a comprehensive and integrated overview of the latest results and findings from research conducted at the archaeological site. These findings shed new light on the excavated and conserved structures and features within the urban core, the fortified area, as well as the area outside the city walls (extra muros).
This book by Prof. Dr. Trajche Nachev will undoubtedly enrich scholarly understanding and perspectives on the various phases of the city’s development throughout Late Antiquity and the Early and Late Middle Ages. It also examines the buildings that form an integral part of the city, reflecting its level of development and the role it played in the wider region as an episcopal seat.
