From 27 to 29 April 2026, the first ACE²-EU Alliance Knowledge Creation Team Workshop dedicated to gender equality was successfully held at the Latvian Academy of Culture.
The event was attended by students, academic staff and external partners from nine partner universities, including representatives from the University “Goce Delcev” – Stip, Prof. Dr. Elena Maksimova, Prof. Dr. Milica Shutova and PhD student Roze Surlovska-Ristevska. Working in international teams, the participants discussed current challenges and opportunities for future cooperation in advancing gender equality.
The workshop provided an open dialogue on issues related to gender identity, self-expression, power relations, wage inequality and challenges in the labor market, with a special emphasis on creating an inclusive and safe environment for all participants.
The collaboration continues after the workshop, through regular online meetings and joint work of international teams, with the possibility of including new participants and experts interested in topics related to gender equality.
The program was implemented within the SPACE Centre Social Impactors strand and represents a new model of collaboration that will be the basis for future workshops dedicated to topics such as culture and diversity, social well-being, respect and dignity.
