The European IMPACTWHEEL project, in which the Goce Delchev University – Shtip is a partner, continues with a new phase aimed at better understanding the needs of the academic community and improving support for innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.

Within the first phase of the project, students, researchers, academic staff and representatives from companies participated in specialized trainings aimed at developing practical skills for innovation and entrepreneurship. The trainings focused on the VCW – Value Creation Wheel methodology, which is a tool for transforming ideas into concrete and sustainable solutions with real social and economic value.

Through this approach, participants had the opportunity to learn how to connect innovation capabilities with the active involvement of stakeholders and with the strategic positioning of ideas. The goal is to create solutions that are not only innovative, but also have a long-term and measurable impact.

Following the successful implementation of the first phase, the second phase of the IMPACTWHEEL project has already begun. This part of the project focuses on collecting relevant information and experiences through a survey, which seeks to gain a deeper understanding of how higher education institutions can further strengthen support for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The participation of the academic community and researchers is particularly important in this process, as their experiences and views will contribute to the creation of more effective policies and programs for the development of the innovation ecosystem.

By integrating the VCW model, internationalization processes and data-driven approaches, the IMPACTWHEEL project aims to help develop clearer and more structured innovation strategies. These strategies should enable universities, research centers and companies to more effectively create innovations with real and global impact.

Such initiatives strengthen the role of universities as key drivers of knowledge, innovation and sustainable development in modern society.
