Traditionally, the end of the year at Goce Delchev University – Shtip is marked by an interview with the rector.
This year we are doing something different.
In a special pre-New Year video edition, Goce Delchev University opens a conversation with the three vice-rectors – Prof. Dr. Sasho Kocevski, Prof. Dr. Darko Lazarov and Prof. Dr. Ana Nikodinovska – each from their own field, but with a common goal: the development of a modern, open and European university.
In the interview, the vice-rector for teaching and students, Prof. Dr. Sasho Kocevski, speaks of 2025 as a period of dynamic development, with a strong focus on students, the quality of teaching and internationalization. The university, as he emphasizes, is a complex and living system, open to criticism, cooperation and continuous transformation.
The vice-rector for development and international cooperation, Prof. Dr. Darko Lazarov, announces that 2026 will be a record year in terms of investment volume, with over 750,000 euros invested in laboratory and research infrastructure. Special emphasis is placed on the establishment of a university startup and innovation center, which should connect knowledge, science and entrepreneurship.
Prof. Dr. Ana Nikodinovska speaks about the significance of the European University Alliance as a long-term strategic commitment and a concrete step towards the integration of the UGD into the European educational space, emphasizing that European processes also occur through education, science and youth.
The entire interview offers a clear picture of where Goce Delchev University is today and where it is heading in the coming period – with investments, international cooperation, innovations and students in the spotlight.
