Goce Delcev University – Stip successfully implemented a two-day training for young researchers, dedicated to the preparation of competitive project applications for European funding programs.
The training, which took place on July 9 and 10, 2026, is another confirmation of the University’s strategic commitment to continuously invest in the development of scientific research potential and internationalization.
In conditions when European programs increasingly recognize innovative ideas, interdisciplinary research and international cooperation as drivers of development, Goce Delcev University creates opportunities for young scientists to acquire practical knowledge and competencies necessary for successful participation in European project consortia.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the entire process of developing a project idea – from the initial concept to the preparation of a quality project application. Special emphasis was placed on the identification of relevant European funding programs, the definition of project objectives, expected results and success indicators, as well as the preparation of work packages, the allocation of activities and the practical development of mini-project proposals.
The training was implemented through an interactive approach, combining lectures, practical exercises, team work and presentation of project ideas. This way of working allowed the participants to gain real experience in the development of project concepts, but also to improve their skills in teamwork, critical thinking and strategic planning.
By organizing this training, Goce Delcev University once again confirms its role as a modern higher education and research institution that actively invests in human capital and creates generations of researchers ready to be part of the European research area.
