Opportunity for a research stay at the University of Graz for students and postdoctoral fellows from UGD

Goce Delcev University – Stip informs its students and academic staff that the Call for Applications for the GO STYRIA Research Grant program for the summer semester 2027 is open, which provides for a short-term research stay at the University of Graz, Austria.

The program is intended for master’s and doctoral students, as well as postdoctoral fellows from countries in the region, including North Macedonia. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to carry out research for one or two months during the summer semester 2027, with the earliest possible start in February 2027.

The goal of the program is to enable participants to conduct part of their scientific research at the University of Graz, and then to continue and successfully complete their master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral research at their home university.

For Master’s and Doctoral students, the requirement is to be enrolled at an accredited university in the academic year 2026/2027 and actively working on their Master’s or Doctoral thesis. For postdoctoral students, it is required to be members of the academic staff of an accredited university and to have completed their doctoral studies no more than three years ago at the time of application.

Interested Master’s and Doctoral students should submit the necessary information to access the electronic application system no later than October 7, 2026.

The deadline for submitting applications is October 12, 2026 by 1:00 p.m. (CET).
