Applications Open for the “Active Learning e-Pedagogy Schools” Online Course

Споделете

Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, Austria, is organizing a two-hour online workshop and course as part of the Active Learning e-Pedagogy Schools (ALES) series, intended for academic staff, instructional designers, and educational experts. The course is organized by the partner university within the ACE2EU Alliance.

The course will take place on 22 October 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00.

Focus and Objectives of the Training

The failure of online teaching is often attributed to platforms or student engagement. However, the main reason for the ineffectiveness of online courses most often lies in the pedagogical approach rather than the technology. This interactive session is designed to help participants diagnose challenges in online learning environments and provide practical frameworks for addressing them.

Participants will have the opportunity to master the principles of active, experiential, and challenge-based learning, with the aim of transforming traditional content-delivery lectures into interactive and collaborative teaching.

Who Is This Course For?

  • University teaching and research staff;
  • Instructional designers, e-learning coordinators, and educational experts;
  • Early-career researchers transitioning to student-centred teaching.

Upon successful completion of the session, all participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
