Goce Delcev University and its partners in the European University Alliance ACE²-EU marked a historic moment during the Second Annual Congress, held at Constantin Brâncuși University in Târgu Jiu, Romania.
The rectors and presidents of the nine member universities officially signed the foundational commitments that will directly shape and guide the future of the Alliance:
- The Statutes of the ACE²-EU European University legal entity;
- The ACE²-EU By-laws, which define in detail the governance and management structure of the Alliance;
- The Joint Declaration of the Rectors, providing formal institutional approval.

By signing these documents, ACE²-EU is taking a decisive and crucial step forward – transitioning from a cooperation-based alliance towards establishing a common legal and institutional identity, namely the creation of a single legal entity that will unite all participating universities.
These documents provide the partnership with a solid foundation and a stable path forward. They establish a unified and common framework for the future e-Campus, the development of joint study programmes, and the long-term sustainability of the entire network.

Nine universities, united by a shared commitment to building the European future of higher education.
“What began as an informal meeting at an airport is now on the verge of becoming one university. This is not merely a project involving these universities; it represents the future of European education,” emphasized the President of the Alliance, Prof. João Moutão from the Polytechnic University of Santarém, Portugal.
