STIP — The University “Goce Delcev” – Stip officially launched the physical mobility of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), entitled “Art and Choreography as a Tool for Social Transformation”.
The programme, which takes place within the framework of the European alliance ACE²-EU, runs from August 31 to September 4, 2026 and brings together around 17 students and mentors from several European universities.The project is coordinated by UGD (through the Film Academy and the Fine Arts Academy), in cooperation with Universidad Francisco de Vitoria from Spain and the Latvian Academy of Culture (LAC) from Latvia. The main research base for the students are the testimonies and archival materials on workers’ rights provided by the association KUC “Textile”, which are translated into abstract artistic segments, movement and visual art through an interdisciplinary approach.
As the organizers have pointed out, this intensive week is filled with practical work and mentoring workshops where students from different universities of the alliance jointly prepare the final concept. The guest professors and students from the Latvian Academy expressed great excitement for the participation, noting that this is a great opportunity for mutual cooperation, exchange of experiences and gaining new acquaintances.
The whole process will culminate with a final public event — a performance-installation at the Youth Cultural Center (YCC) in Skopje, which will be held on Friday (September 4). The audience will have the opportunity to directly confront the issues of labor rights through the youthful artistic vision of this international ensemble. Students who successfully complete the program will gain 3 ECTS credits and practical experience in the field of artistic activism.
