Martin, Dusica, Mihajlo, Ajla and Stole, students at Goce Delcev University (UGD) in Stip, took part in the project “Development of Engineering Skills: Racing for the Future” in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The project gave them the opportunity to explore engineering, technology and motorsport through new activities and meetings with students from various European universities that are part of the ACE2EU alliance.

For Martin Zarkov, a law student, one of the most interesting aspects was the opportunity to participate in activities outside his field of study.

“I learned that an interdisciplinary approach is extremely important and that successful solutions often emerge from collaboration between different professions,” Martin shares.

His stay in Kaunas allowed him to experience a different university environment, characterised by a modern approach, interactive teaching and a strong emphasis on practical work.

“I think UGD is on the right track and can stand shoulder to shoulder with European universities. Membership in ACE²-EU and the opportunities for mobility give students a chance to gain international experience,” Martin says.

A particularly memorable experience for the students was their visit to the LIK Racing team, where they had a close-up look at the world of motorsport.

“We saw and experienced many new things. However, the LIK Racing team left the strongest impression on me,” says Mihajlo Shterjov, a student at the Faculty of Economics in Shtip.

In addition to the new activities, collaboration with students from other European universities was an important part of the experience. Working together allowed the students to exchange ideas, learn from one another and discover different perspectives. The project was an inspiring experience and an opportunity for UGD students to gain practical knowledge and motivation to continue developing their skills.

“We had the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from one another and work together on the tasks,” says Ajla Hasanovic, a student at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Shtip.

“I would apply again without a second thought! This experience gave me invaluable practical knowledge and a great boost to keep progressing. I am absolutely delighted to have been part of it,” shares Dusica Andova, a student at the Faculty of Computer Science in Shtip.

Stole Danev, also a computer science student, describes the experience in three words: inspiration, friendship and adventure.
