The Konrad Adenauer Foundation has announced a new Call for Scholarships, intended for undergraduate (final semesters), master’s and doctoral students enrolled at accredited universities in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The program is intended for young and talented students who, in addition to solid academic results, show interest and active engagement in political and/or social life, as well as a commitment to Christian Democratic values. The goal of the program is to identify and support individuals with the potential for further involvement and success in various social spheres, including politics, business, science, media, culture and the civil sector.
The Konrad Adenauer Foundation is a political foundation guided by the principles of the first Federal Chancellor of Germany. It operates two educational centers and 21 educational institutions in Germany, and globally implements over 200 projects in more than 120 countries.
Application Criteria
Scholarship candidates must meet the following requirements:
- be accepted to study at one of the accredited universities in the Republic of North Macedonia;
- have solid academic results;
- know at least one foreign language;
- be active in social and/or political life;
- demonstrate a willingness to positively influence the political, economic, educational or social development of the country;
- have the potential to achieve high positions in their future career.
Required Documents
The following documents must be submitted to apply:
- application form (available on the foundation’s website);
- a short CV in English or German;
- a motivation letter in English or German;
- two letters of recommendation, at least one from a university professor;
- a certificate of completion of undergraduate studies (for Master’s degree candidates);
- confirmation of enrollment in the relevant studies (can be submitted additionally).
Only selected candidates will be invited to an interview at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
