Open Call for CreActive Lab / 12-15 February 2026 / Veles, Republic of North Macedonia

Споделете

CreActive Lab is a four-day experimental policy lab and advanced training program organized by the Forum for Educational Change (FECH) with the support of the Open Society Foundation – Western Balkans. The Lab will bring together 20 active young people (aged 19–29) from across North Macedonia to strengthen their skills in Critical Thinking, Civic Engagement, and Advocacy.

The program is designed as a hands-on laboratory, not a traditional training. Participants will work in small, mentored groups on predefined priority issues affecting students and young people, with the goal of developing evidence-based policy recommendations and creative public interventions (artivism / guerrilla actions).

Throughout 12 structured sessions over four days, participants will:

  • Analyze institutional and policy challenges using critical thinking tools;
  • Co-design concrete policy solutions grounded in real legal and social contexts;
  • Explore creative methods of civic engagement and public advocacy;
  • Work collaboratively with mentors to refine their ideas into actionable proposals.

Upon completion of the Lab, participants will be eligible to form informal groups and apply to FECH’s Subgranting Scheme for Student Initiatives, which offers financial and mentoring support to implement selected ideas developed during the program.

CreActive Lab is intended for motivated young people who are interested in active citizenship, policy change, education, youth participation, and social accountability, and who are ready to engage actively throughout the full duration of the program.
