Second Call for PhD Studies of the BREATH Program Open

The BREATH Program has announced its second Call for Applications for PhD candidates, offering a total of 10 fully-funded PhD positions within an interdisciplinary doctoral program that connects the social sciences and humanities (SSH) with health.

The Call offers 11 interdisciplinary research projects, focusing on the intersection between health sciences and social-humanities disciplines. PhD candidates will be mentored by three commentators: an SSH expert, an expert from the health field, and a non-academic and/or international expert.

What does the BREATH Program offer?

BREATH offers a unique research experience, fully funded over a period of 36 months, with attractive conditions that include:

  • monthly allowance (salary),
  • mobility allowance,
  • family allowance,
  • full health insurance.

 

In addition, the program provides:

  • exceptional working conditions and mentoring,
  • high-quality research training in English,
  • mandatory three-month mobility (secondment),
  • training in transferable skills and support for personal and professional development.

 

Who can apply?

The following are eligible to apply:

  • researchers with a completed master’s degree in the social sciences and humanities or health,
  • candidates who have not resided in France for more than one year in the last three years prior to the announcement of the Call.
