Goce Delcev University – Stip is also actively involved in celebrating the prestigious European event “European Researchers’ Night 2026” this year. Under the slogan of the CHOOSE SCIENCE project – “Choose Science! Building Society through Research and Innovation“, a full-day and rich program filled with interactive and educational content will be held on September 24 and 25.
The event is part of a pan-European initiative whose primary goal is to bring science, research and innovation closer to the general public, enabling direct communication between citizens and the scientific community.
The official start of the activities organized by Goce Delcev University will be marked on September 24 (Thursday), with the plenary lecture of Academician Prof. Dr. Blazho Boev. The lecture on the topic “The Importance of the K-T Geological Boundary in the Evolution of the Earth” will be held in Amphitheater 2 (Campus 2), starting at 11 a.m.
The main event will take place on Friday, September 25, when several hours of activities intended for all age groups will be held in parallel in Shtip, Skopje, Bitola and Ohrid.
Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in:
- interactive workshops and live scientific experiments;
- open visits to university laboratories;
- scientific presentations, exhibitions and panel discussions;
- musical and stage performances and direct conversations with researchers.
Science for all generations
The “European Researchers’ Night” offers a unique opportunity for young people, students, but also for all curious citizens to get to know the work of scientists up close, to ask questions and actively participate in experiments, making science understandable, fascinating and applicable in everyday life.
