On May 27, 2025, the Faculty of Law at the University of “Goce Delchev” – Shtip will host an International Conference “Quo Vadis EU Security. A Constitutional Perspective on Migration, Transnational Crime, and Fundamental Rights and Values”, organized by the University of Salerno, Italy, in cooperation and partnership with the University of “Goce Delchev” and the University of “EPOKA” in Tirana, Albania.
The event is held within the framework of the “Jean Monnet” project, EUVALWEB Chair – Promoting Public Awareness on Enlargement Policy, EU Values and Western Balkans’ Accession’, led by the University of Salerno (Italy), under the direction of Prof. Dr. Teresa Russo, in which the University of “Goce Delchev” through Prof. Dr. Ana Nikodinovska-Krstevska participates as part of the Team Chair of this Department.
The Conference will be attended by prominent professors, judges, public prosecutors, researchers and experts from Macedonia, Italy, Albania and Serbia, who will discuss:
- constitutional aspects of migration and EU foreign policies,
- the fight against transnational organized crime,
- the protection of fundamental rights and values in the context of European integration.
The keynote speaker of the Conference will be Dr. Mirjana Lazarova-Trajkovska, judge at the Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia and former judge at the European Court of Human Rights.
The Conference program includes three thematic panels and a final debate with the participation of young researchers, with the aim of stimulating legal science and debate on the future of the enlargement of the European Union.
