Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski, a full professor at the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences, has been re-elected as Rector of Goce Delchev University in Shtip.
The decision was made by the University Election Commission based on the summarized results of the voting of the teaching-scientific and artistic councils of the units at the University. With this, Prof. Dr. Mirakovski will continue his function as the head of the University for a new three-year term, which will begin on September 15, 2025 and will last until September 14, 2028.
Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski has a significant role in the development and internationalization of Goce Delchev University, and his re-election represents support for the achievements to date and the vision for the future development of the institution.
“First of all, I would like to thank the entire academic community of UGD, my fellow professors and our students for the support they have given me. It is an honor, but also a duty to continue the way we have been working. In the past three years, we have given new dynamics to the University. UGD has become a more inclusive and open institution and much more connected to institutions at the local and national levels. We have managed to achieve significant progress in improving the conditions for scientific research, better conditions for studying, support for students and for me personally, one of the most important projects is the connection of our university as an equal member in the ACE2EU university alliance,” said, among other things, the rector of UGD, Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski.
