Goce Delcev University in Stip has ended the first enrollment period for the academic year 2026/2027, confirming the high interest among high school graduates from all over the country. According to initial data, in the first enrollment phase, about 1,150 candidates applied for the study programs in Macedonian, which represents over 70 percent of the University’s planned state quota.
This figure is a clear indicator of the continuous growth of trust in the educational process, the conditions for studying and the modern facilities offered by UGD.
The interest in studying at UGD also remains among foreign citizens, who study in accredited study programs in English. In order to enroll in these study programs, foreign citizens must first have their diplomas obtained abroad validated.
Regarding the successful course of the first enrollment period and the achieved results, the Vice-Rector for Education of the University of Goce Delcev, Prof. Dr. Sasho Koceski, noted:
– I can say that the first enrollment period passed successfully. This year, the University “Goce Delcev” remains attractive to a large number of high school students. The fact that this year the competition is great and we have a large number of talented students and first-year students, winners of diplomas, awards and recognitions is pleasing. The University of Goce Delcev will provide its future students with excellent opportunities for study and scientific improvement, as well as opportunities for mobility and networking through the European University Alliance ACE2EU and the Erasmus+ program.
The greatest interest in medical sciences, increased interest in all faculties
– As in previous years, traditionally the greatest interest is in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, where the planned places for the study programs General Medicine and Dental Medicine have been fully filled in the first enrollment period, and there are still a very small number of vacant places for Pharmacy – emphasized Vice-Rector Koceski.
A notable increase in applications in this enrollment period is also recorded by the study programs in the social sciences – primarily the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics, as well as the technical sciences led by the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences. There is also a positive trend and stable interest in the studies in Macedonian language and literature.
