With the announcement of the Call for Enrollment of new students, the electronic system through which interested high school students can apply for enrollment at UGD is also starting today.

They can apply at the following link: https://www.ugd.edu.mk/upisi/prv-ciklus-studii/

According to the Call, there are over 2000 free places for full-time students in the state quota at Goce Delchev University at all faculties and academies.

“We expect young people from the country, but also from the region. We are interested in students from the entire region, especially for second and third cycle studies. By networking in European alliances, we have raised the quality of education in all aspects and this is becoming recognized outside the country,” emphasized the rector of UGD, Prof. Dr. Dejan Mirakovski.

The study programs have been reaccredited, and some are new study programs. The twelve faculties and three academies have 80 active study programs.

The competition for enrollment can be found at the following link:  https://www.ugd.edu.mk/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/konkurs-prv-ciklus-studii-1-rok-2025-26.pdf

“As in previous years, this year we have an exemption from paying participation fees for a larger number of students. At the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the first 20 students will be exempted from participation fees, 10 exemptions each at the Faculty of Informatics, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics, five each at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Technological and Technical Sciences, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Academy of Music. At the Academy of Fine Arts and the Film Academy, two best-ranked candidates will be exempted. Finally, I left the Faculty of Philology, which has many advantages for enrolling new students. The Macedonian language study program exempts students from paying fees for all four years of study. There are benefits for German, Turkish, Italian and English language and literature. The information can also be seen in the Competition, where it is stated in which city, which study program and to what extent it is exempt from paying participation. Let me also mention that students who are part of the UGD sports teams are exempt from paying participation, thereby showing that we also support sports. We have additional quotas for Roma students who are also exempt from paying. Also for people without parents, people with disabilities, war invalids and people displaced in homes for abandoned children. All this information is also in the Competition”, said the Vice-Rector for Education, Prof. Dr. Misko Dzidrov.

At today’s press conference, it was emphasized that there is also interest from students from other universities who want to transfer to the University of Shtip and that there is interest from students from almost all countries.

The University is offering active study programs in English this year as well, at the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Informatics and Faculty of Medicine. The study programs at the Academy of Music and the Academy of Film are also accredited in English.
