The first enrollment period for the academic year 2026/2027 has officially begun at the University of Goce Delcev in Stip, which will last until Friday, August 21.

Candidates will be able to apply for a total of 3,341 free places, distributed across 47 accredited study programs at 12 faculties and three academies.

Of the total quota, 1,629 places are intended for full-time students, while the rest are for part-time studies and for students with co-financing. The Vice-Rector for Education, Prof. Dr. Sasho Kocevski, at today’s press conference, explained the manner in which this process will be implemented:

“The application process takes place in two phases. Namely, first they submit an electronic application through our electronic enrollment system, and then in the second step they bring their documents in physical form and submit them to one of the University’s enrollment points located in Stip at the Faculty of Law, and we also have enrollment points in Strumica, Gevgelija, Kavadarci and Skopje.”

The electronic enrollment system is recording positive trends and increased interest among high school graduates even before the official opening of the physical points.

“I am pleased to state that this year we have indeed seen an increased interest in studying at the ‘Goce Delcev’ University in Stip. As usual, the Faculty of Medical Sciences has the most interest. We also have great interest in the social sciences, primarily the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics, but we are also interested in technical sciences – the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences are in the lead here,” said Vice-Rector Kocevski.

He also particularly highlighted the interest in the studies in Macedonian language and literature, which are fully subsidized by the state as a direction of national interest.

For all candidates who will not be able to apply during this period, the University is organizing a second enrollment period on September 3 and 4, as well as a third enrollment period on September 16 and 17.

Key dates for the first enrollment period:

  • August 26: Announcement of preliminary results;
  • August 27: Submission of objections;
  • August 31: Publication of the final rankings and admission decisions;
  • September 1 – 3: Enrollment of admitted candidates.

Regarding foreign students, the Vice-Rector clarified that the same deadlines and criteria apply to them, with prior mandatory nostrification of diplomas at the Ministry of Education and Science, with approximately 30% of the total quotas being allocated for this category.

At the end of his address, Prof. Dr. Sasho Kocevski sent a message to the next generation of students:

“I would like to tell our future students that they should enter the academic study process from October 1 with great will, desire and enthusiasm, and in the University and in our professors they will find true partners who will open laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment for them, enable them to participate in quality research and international projects, and provide them with top-notch education.”
