Goce Delcev University – Stip hosted the international ACE²-EU Flavour School on the topic “Economic Resilience in Times of Crisis, Security Challenges and Uncertainties: Global Business Perspectives”, which was held from 1 to 5 June within the framework of the European university alliance ACE²-EU.
During the five working days, around 30 students from member universities of the alliance had the opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical experience related to economic resilience, crisis management, global security challenges and the impact of uncertainties on modern economies and businesses.
The program included lectures, interactive workshops, discussions and case studies carried out by professors and experts from several European countries.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, participants had the opportunity to analyze contemporary economic challenges, the role of institutions in times of crisis, as well as strategies for building more resilient economies and organizations.
In addition to the teaching activities that were implemented at the University “Goce Delcev”, students and professors visited several important institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia in order to directly learn about the functioning of the key bearers of economic policies and development strategies.
One of the most important visits was realized at the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, where participants had the opportunity to follow specialized presentations and lectures by representatives of the institution. The meetings presented current macroeconomic trends, the role of the central bank in maintaining financial stability, as well as the mechanisms through which countries and financial institutions deal with economic crises, inflationary pressures and global uncertainties.
A visit to the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia was also organized within the framework of the program, where students learned about the role of the Chamber as one of the most important partners of the business community in the country. Through presentations and discussions with representatives of the institution, the participants gained insight into the processes of creating economic policies, the support provided to companies in times of crisis, as well as the challenges faced by the private sector in a dynamic global economy.
As part of the program, the participants also had organized activities in Skopje, which, in addition to the educational component, enabled additional networking, intercultural exchange and building new partnerships between students and academic staff from different European countries.
The organization of this international school is another confirmation of the active role of the University “Goce Delcev” – Stip within the ACE²-EU alliance and its commitment to providing modern and international educational experiences for students. Through such initiatives, students get the opportunity to learn from international experts, to connect theoretical knowledge with real challenges in society and to build professional contacts that will be important for their further academic and career development.
