From 22 to 24 September 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Biljana Atanasova from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University “Goce Delcev” – Stip participated in the ACE2-EU ARC Knowledge Creation Team Workshop #5 – “Green Circular Economy & Bio-Based Materials”, held at the Lietuvos Inžinerijos kolegija (LIK) in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The workshop brought together researchers from different institutions within the ACE2-EU Alliance, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences, developing project ideas and creating new opportunities for international research cooperation.
Within the framework of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Biljana Atanasova presented her project idea “From agricultural by-products to sustainable crop protection solutions”, aimed at utilizing agricultural by-products for the development of sustainable solutions in plant protection.
During this three-day workshop, participants had the opportunity to advance their project ideas, work on preparing project proposals and gain practical knowledge about the evaluation criteria of Horizon Europe – Excellence, Impact and Implementation. Special attention was also paid to the opportunities for international research cooperation through EUREKA projects and COST Actions.
The participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Biljana Atanasova represents a significant opportunity for presenting their own research ideas, international scientific networking and developing new partnerships for future European project initiatives.
