With an exhibition of student works inspired by traditional Macedonian costumes, the “Art Vision” Art Festival, organized by the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Goce Delchev – Shtip, began yesterday. The event is held from May 14 to 16 and includes a series of lectures, master classes and exhibitions that celebrate graphic art and its role in contemporary fine art.
The festival began at the Faculty of Technology, where the exhibition “Roots and Wings in Art” was opened, prepared by Riste Krmov, a graduate graphic artist and senior conservator at the Museum and Institute of Shtip. The event continued with a lecture, master class and an exhibition of drawings.
During the Festival, established artists and professors from the region will also be presented. Professor Miron Mutavdzic from the Faculty of Arts in Niš (Serbia) held a lecture, master class and exhibition today. Tomorrow, on May 16, Viktor Semenpeev, an academic painter-graphic artist from Sofia, will perform with his workshop, lecture and exhibition in Bogdanci.
The Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Petar Namichev, emphasized that the Festival aims to bring art closer to young people and offer a broader understanding of graphic art:
“The Festival of Fine Arts implies a broader coverage of aspects of art. This year, we have created a concept to present graphic art as part of the production of fine arts. The event is dedicated precisely to students, to show that the Academy has a vision for the development of education in art.”
Within the framework of the Festival, each of the invited artists will hold workshops and master classes, where students will have the opportunity to learn new techniques and create their own works, which will be exhibited immediately after each session.
Yesterday, the students were presented with graphic art through work with a press, on which the students immediately created their own works.
The “Art Vision” Festival not only presents art, but also aims to bring it closer to the community, stimulating interest among young people in academic and professional creativity.
