Lecture “The Importance of the CT Geological Boundary in the Evolution of the Earth” by Academician Prof. Dr. Blazho Boev

Academician Prof. Dr. Blazho Boev, with his lecture at the University “Goce Delcev”, marked the beginning of the “European Researchers’ Night 2026”.

UGD is part of this world event, and it seems there is no better way to start than with a lecture from such an eminent and renowned professor and academic from the ranks of the University.

Academician Boev gave a lecture “The Importance of the CT Geological Boundary in the Evolution of the Earth”, during which he brought closer to the attendees scientific knowledge and theories about the creation of planet Earth, the extinction of dinosaurs, the theories about that turning point, as well as the possibilities for similar scenarios in our time, but also the readiness of science to create an appropriate response to possible such scenarios.

Professor Boev also emphasized that it is of utmost importance to constantly remind ourselves of the importance of science and scientific research, as a crucial part of higher education.
