The programs through the ACE2EU Alliance enable the participation of all students at the University “Goce Delcev” – Stip through international academic and practical mobilities at nine European universities.

Student Çeren Jazar, a fourth year student of the English study program in medicine, participated in an academic mobility within the framework of the ACE2EU Alliance in Portugal.

During the mobility, she was involved in an educational program on palliative care, with a focus on empathy and a patient-centered approach, through lectures and interactive sessions with participants from several European universities.

“I realized that medicine is not only about treatment, but also about understanding the person and their need for support and dignified care,” emphasizes Jazar.

In addition to the practical academic engagement, she also highlights the fact that she and the other students have become a group of true friends.

“Although I was the only student from Turkey, I was accepted with openness and warmth from the beginning. Very quickly the group grew into true friendships,” she adds.

The participation of a professor from our university, Prof. Dr. Daniela Buklioska Ilievska, who, with her academic contribution and active role in the program, strengthened international cooperation and the quality of discussions, was significant in the mobility.

“Her approach created a motivating and supportive environment for all students,” emphasizes Jazar.

After returning from Portugal, she emphasizes that the experience brought her a significantly broader perspective on medicine, as well as additional motivation to apply international practices in her professional development.
