Students of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering at the University “Goce Delcev” – Stip were part of the XIV edition of the EMERGE fashion show, which was held on June 4, 2026 at the Costume Museum (Museo del Traje) in Madrid, Spain.
This year’s edition “Mythology of Wine” connected fashion, mythology, cultural heritage and contemporary creativity through the symbolic world of wine.
Together with students and professors from the University “Francisco de Vitoria” (UFV) and from several European universities, students of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering actively participated in this international project, implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) of the ACE²-EU Alliance.
The event brought together research, design, scenography and artistic creation through collaboration with the ANDROMEDA project, the IAI research group, the Costume Museum and the Valduero winery, creating a unique platform for intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Within the theme of “Mythology of Wine”, the students explored the dual nature of Dionysus – the god of wine, freedom and ecstasy – through a creative dialogue between protection and freedom. The upper part of the creations is shaped like a symbolic armor, representing strength, stability and structure, while the lower part, with its lightness and movement, introduces fluidity, dynamism and sensuality.
The contrast between these elements creates a harmonious balance between strength and freedom, structure and movement, reflecting the complex and ambivalent nature of Dionysus.
The participation of the students of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering in this significant international event is another confirmation of their creativity, dedication and ability to successfully represent the Faculty and the University in European academic and artistic frameworks.
We sincerely thank all partners, organizers and participants for this unforgettable experience, filled with inspiration, creativity and new friendships. We hope that this successful cooperation will continue in the future, opening up new opportunities for joint creation, exchange of knowledge and building even stronger ties between academic and cultural communities across Europe.
