On the 11th and 12th of April 2024, a delegation from Goce Delcev University, Stip, represented by Rector, prof. Dejan Mirakovski and Vice Rector for International Cooperation, prof. Ana Nikodinovska Krstevska participated in coordinative meetings of the European University Alliance ACE_EU2, that were held in Brussels at the Seat of Portugal’s Permanent Representation to the European Union (RAPPER).
During the meetings different issues were tackled from the Alliance domain, including possibilities for mutual cooperation with the purpose of establishing strategic long-term cooperation, joint project activities and the spreading and sharing of European values between the Alliance’s members and beyond.
As part of the two-day trip, upon the invitation of the European MP from Portugal, Mr. Carlos Zorrinho, the members of the Alliance also visited the European Parliament, whereby they discussed the ongoing activities of the Alliance, and the actions to be undertaken in the following period. The members of ACE_EU2 stressed the importance of establishing a European Interuniversity Alliance, that promotes cooperation among universities in higher education through the prism of European ideals and values.
The European Alliance was formed in December 2023 in Santarem (PT), between nine universities:

- Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania

- Latvian Academy of Culture, Latvia
- Technishe Hochschule Ingolstadt, Germany
